Website design & redesign

A site you would happily
send a customer to.

Most trades sites were built years ago, take too long to load on a phone, and bury the phone number. Yours will say what you do, the towns you cover, and how to reach you — and it will do it fast, on the phone your customer is actually holding.

I will pull your current site up on the call and go through it with you.

What is on it

One good page beats five mediocre ones for a trades business. A homeowner with a leak is not browsing — they are deciding whether to call you.

  • Your phone number where a thumb can reach it, on every screen, tappable.
  • What you actually do, in your words, not "comprehensive solutions for all your needs".
  • The towns you cover, named. People search for their own town.
  • Your hours, and whether you genuinely take emergency calls out of them.
  • What earns trust fast — licence numbers, insurance, how long you have been going. For a trades buyer these do more than any design choice.
  • A contact form that goes somewhere — straight into the lead system, answered day or night.

Why it takes days and not months

We are not designing a website from a blank page for every customer. We have our own template built for trades businesses, and the work is fitting it to you: your name, your colours, your trade, your towns, your services, your photos.

That is the whole reason this is affordable. A bespoke build takes about twelve hours of work; fitting the template takes about four. You get the same result, faster, and you are not paying for me to reinvent a layout that already works.

Your real photos, or none. Your vans, your crew, your finished work. If you have not got usable photos yet, we use a clean plain design instead — a stock photo of somebody else's plumber is worse than no photo at all, and a local customer can always tell.

How the build goes

  1. We talk for thirty minutes

What you do, who you want more of, what you hate about your current site. If you have not got a site at all, that is a shorter conversation.

  2. You see it before you commit

I build a preview with your real business details in it, so you are looking at your site rather than at an example of somebody else's. The form is switched off on a preview so nothing gets lost.

  3. Domain access, first thing

This is the one step that genuinely holds jobs up, so we start it on day one. If you do not know who controls your domain, that is normal and we will work it out.

  4. Your words and your photos go in

The preview copy is a starting point, not the finished thing. We rewrite it in how you actually talk about the work, and add your licence and insurance details.

  5. It goes live and the form is wired up

We test it end to end before handover: submit the form, confirm the lead arrives, confirm the automatic reply lands in an inbox rather than a spam folder.

What the monthly covers after launch

  • Hosting and your domain.
  • Content changes — new services, changed hours, a phone number, new photos.
  • Keeping it working. If something breaks, that is mine to fix, not another invoice.

How the pricing works →

Two things it is not. There is no login for you to edit pages yourself — you message me and I change it, usually the same day, which for a one-page trades site is faster than any editor. And there is no blog. If your business genuinely needs one later, that is a conversation, not a surprise.

Next: the site's contact form feeds straight into the lead system, so a form filled in at 11pm is answered at 11pm. If your Google listing is also wrong or unclaimed, that is worth fixing first — it is quicker and people see it before they reach your site. What it costs →

Let's look at your current site together

Thirty minutes. I will open it on a phone and a laptop, tell you what I would change and why, and you can take that away whether or not you hire me.
